About 151 (Scarlet & Violet 3.5)
151 is the Scarlet & Violet–era special set released in English on September 22, 2023, built entirely around the original 151 Kanto Pokémon in National Pokédex order. Unlike a main-series expansion, English 151 was never sold as a standard 36-pack booster box — it shipped through Booster Bundles, Elite Trainer Boxes, the Ultra-Premium Collection and themed collection boxes, which gives its sealed product its own market dynamics.
The chase layer is the seven Special Illustration Rares, led by the Kanto starter trio — Venusaur ex #198, Charizard ex #199 and Blastoise ex #200 — with sixteen Illustration Rares (the picnic-scene Charmander #168 and Squirtle #170 among them) carrying most of the rest of the set's value.
151 also holds a genuine piece of TCG history: Kadabra #64 is the Pokémon's first card since Skyridge in 2003, ending a two-decade absence from the game.
How the value is distributed
Of the 207 priced cards in 151, 4 trade at $100 or more and 30 at $10 or more, and the top ten cards alone account for 60% of the set's total market value. That concentration is typical of the hobby: the chase cards carry the set, and the median card sits at $0.96. If you're valuing a collection, price the top of this page first — the rest usually moves the total less than shipping costs do.
On the 7-day Cardmarket (EU) trend, the set's biggest riser right now is Dragonair (+50%) and the biggest faller is Venusaur ex (-17%) — an early momentum signal, not a guarantee. See all movers →
