Google Analytics

Pages load Google Analytics 4 (gtag.js from googletagmanager.com) to count visits and which buttons and links get used, with IP anonymisation requested. It runs under Google's Consent Mode: in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland analytics storage is off until you press Allow on the banner; everywhere else it is on until you press Decline. While it is on, Google sets its _ga cookies. While it is off, Google can still receive cookieless pings that carry your consent choice.

You can block Google Analytics on every site with Google's browser opt-out add-on. Google explains how it uses this data at How Google uses information from sites that use its services.

PokePulse's own measurement

Two small scripts send anonymous usage data to PokePulse's own server, which stores it in a database hosted by Supabase:

• Feature tracker (/api/feat): which buttons and call-to-action links appeared on screen and which were clicked, with the page path. The server adds a daily session code, a one-way hash of your IP address, browser and the date. It does not store the IP address or the browser string itself. Requests from bots are dropped.
• Reading beacon (/static/js/pulse.js, /api/pulse): which headings were on screen and for how long, how far you scrolled, time on page, how many times you copied text, the text and address of links you clicked, the address of the page that sent you here, and a random session id. No IP address or browser string is stored.

Both stop when you press Decline on the banner. The reading beacon also does not run when your browser sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control.

Requests from known AI crawlers (for example GPTBot or ClaudeBot) are logged with their path, status, user agent and IP address. Ordinary visits are not logged this way.

Cookies and browser storage

PokePulse sets no cookies of its own. It keeps two values in your browser: pp_consent in localStorage remembers your Allow or Decline choice, and pv_sid in sessionStorage holds the reading beacon's random session id until the tab closes. Clear this site's storage and the banner shows again. Any cookies come from Google Analytics, as described above.

Images and outside links

Card images load from images.pokemontcg.io, so that service receives your IP address and browser details, as any image host does. Store buttons such as TCGplayer, and the data source pokemontcg.io, are other sites; what happens after you click is covered by their own policies. This site shows no ads and loads no advertising scripts.

Feedback button

The Help / report a problem button loads a small widget from feedback.milanswers.com. Nothing is sent unless you type a message and press Send. Then it sends your message and the page address, plus an email address only if you choose to enter one for a reply.

Hosting

The site runs on Render. Like any web host, Render processes your IP address and request details to deliver pages.

Children

PokePulse is a price reference for collectors and is not directed at children under 13. It does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Use the Help / report a problem button on any page. PokePulse does not publish another contact address.

Changes

If what the site loads changes, this page will be updated and the date above will change.
