Authenticity check

At $128, Dark Ampharos is in the price tier counterfeiters actually print. Before paying for a raw copy, run the quick physical checks — and be suspicious of any copy offered well under market.

Light test: real cards have an opaque middle layer — shine a phone light through the card; if it glows through easily, walk away.
Texture & print: under magnification real cards show a fine rosette dot pattern; fakes look flat, blurry, or oversaturated (the back's blue is a common tell).
Font & layout: compare the HP, energy symbols and set number against the card image above — fakes routinely get spacing and symbols subtly wrong.
The price itself: a raw Dark Ampharos offered under about $64.03 is where fakes and bait listings live — run the exact price through our deal checker.
