Authenticity check
- Light test: real cards have an opaque middle layer — shine a phone light through the card; if it glows through easily, walk away.
- Texture & print: under magnification real cards show a fine rosette dot pattern; fakes look flat, blurry, or oversaturated (the back's blue is a common tell).
- Font & layout: compare the HP, energy symbols and set number against the card image above — fakes routinely get spacing and symbols subtly wrong.
- The price itself: a raw Mary's Request offered under about $32.49 is where fakes and bait listings live — run the exact price through our deal checker.
